Case Neck Annealing Machine
How it works
Cartridge cases spin in a stationary spindle while heating, so you do not need to perfectly align two nozzles. Run one heat source or two.
Setup and control
- Torch tips adjust for height, angle, distance, and vertical tilt with two clamp knobs. No wing nuts.
- Sets up in about 2 minutes, from .22 Hornet to the largest magnum cases. Can be supplied for .50 caliber.
- Heating time is adjustable from 1.5 to 10.0 seconds, governed by a micro-processor and a 10-bit analog/digital converter.
- Two modes: manual “Setup” and “Automatic Cycle.”
Built to last
- Table top and index plate are aluminum, fan-cooled by a 50 CFM unit. They do not heat up significantly in use. No plastic to bow or warp, and the table acts as a heat sink to protect case-head hardness.
- The index plate uses a Geneva drive that stays engaged. No free-wheeling, binding, or motor overload.
- Small footprint: 10” wide x 12” long x 6” tall (excluding capstands), about 12 pounds. Easy to move.
- Aluminum is anodized black or clear to resist oxidation.
Throughput
About 500 to 600 cartridges per hour. Average cycle is roughly 4 seconds of heat and 2 seconds of indexing on most .308 and magnum cases. Programmable up to 10 seconds for single-torch use.
